Thank you for sharing this wonderful tradition. Our daughter, Carrie Ward,(Brian was a youth pastor at Irving Bible church) shared this with our family this Thanksgiving.We are all looking forward to sharing the Bible with our grandchildren. We are baby sitting over night for our other daughter and get to make the earth ornament with our grandson.

Our former church invited everyone to bring bells to church on Easter Sunday. Anytime the word “Alleluia” was said or sung during the liturgy, everyone would ring their bells wildly. It was such a beautiful and joyous expression, and one I’ll never forget!

Fine activity.

But you should probably explain WHY we don’t sing or recite alleluia during Lent. “Alleluia” is an expression of joy and celebration in the Lord and the triumph of the kingdom come, whereas Lent is a time of penitence and solemnity and anticipation of the grim nature of Christ’s sacrifice for our sins.

I love this idea for the both the christmas card photos AND the classmates valentine’s cards. I’m with you on never knowing what to do with the holiday photo cards! I store them in a huge box with years past, then as we decorate for Christmas each year, we enjoy getting to see them all again. I don’t think I’ll be crawling into the shed to unpack them for this project, but next year… it’s on! I think I will do the valentine’s book though…

It was a joyful night getting to know new friends. My family and I spent the evening in the home of another family enjoying a HUGE spread of pancakes, bacon, and sausage! A very nice time for the grown-ups and a sweet baby girl in the kitchen while the kindergarten boys ran around the house giggling – literally. Thanks for the meaninful good times “Smiles”!!

Thank you for taking time to develop this website. I am a single parent and I appreciate your thoughtfulness and sincerity. I have a personal question for you, what is a raw foodist? Do you eat raw only? I’m interested in this as, I used to eat raw for periods of time about 15 years ago and have not really been able to get back on track with it.
